Course aim and content

At the end of the course the student should be competent to install and secure an operating system and maintain data integrity. Common flaws in software should be recognized and the student should be able to mitigate or fix them. How to use standard tools to analyze systems and detect attacks should be known. After the course the student should be able to independently solve problems and perform common system management tasks. The students should be able to search, read and comprehend information from different sources on their own.
